Entry 021

To the mama grieving her lost pregnancy and who her baby would have become.

To the mama doing everything she can to conceive.

To the mama who keeps her motherhood a secret because her loss came before her pregnancy announcement.

To the mama whose baby was born sleeping.

To the mama with children on this side of life and the other.

To the mama pregnant after loss who is battling the constant fear and anxiety that she won’t hold this baby in her arms either.

To the mama who lost her adult child.

To the mama trying to comprehend how the life she dreamed of will never happen.

To the mama bracing herself for Mother’s Day because she should have her child in her arms but doesn’t.

To the mama who is honored today instead of a week from now just because her child’s heart stopped beating.

I see you, mama. And I hope you remember that a mother isn’t measure by the number of children next to her, but by those in her heart.

To you, mama, happy Bereaved Mother’s Day.

And happy early Mother’s Day.

Because you are, and always will be, a mama.
